Introduction:
Six years is indeed a long gap. But it is a fact, that India has not played Zimbabwe all these years, and there is a sea of changes on both sides.
In a bilateral series, the two teams encountered each other way back in 2016. The visiting Indian Team made a clean sweep of the ODI’s and did meet some resistance in the 20-over format. The series ended up 2- 1, with the Zimbabweans notching up a win.
The Indians would be touching down in Harare on August 16th to play three ODI’s starting August 18th with just a day of rest.

This is why the prominent stalwarts would be rested, and the Team would rotate its players to give everyone a chance.
Rumors have it that Virat Kohli may join the Team at Harare to regain his golden touch, which has gone missing for a while. Rahul Dravid, the Head-coach may also fly home to take a break and VVS. Laxman is expected to take over as Coach in Zimbabwe.
