Yastika Bhatia did a ‘MS Dhoni’ behind the stumps

Ms Dhoni may have retired but his legacy, his uniqueness will always be remembered by fans. Whenever a keeper would do a quick stumping or a no look run out MS Dhoni will always be remembered. Such an incident happened in the India vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI match in the 3-matches Women ODI series when Indian keeper Yastika Bhatia pulled off a brilliant no-look run out.

It was the 2nd ball of the 23rd over. Sri Lankan batsman Anushka Sanjeewani defended the ball of Dipti Sharma and was casually returning to crease. Indian wicket-keeper Yastika Bhatia was absolutely keen on her work. She quickly got on to the ball and did a no-look throw to the stumps and that actually hit the stumps. The appeal from the Indian wicket-keeper was referred to the 3rd Umpire and it was seen Anushka fell short of her crease. She had to return to the pavilion on individual 25 runs.

The video didn’t take any moment to get viral on social media and fans praised her effort a lot by comparing her with Indian former wicket keeper MS Dhoni.

Eventually, Sri Lanka managed to score only 173 runs in their 50 overs which the Indian team chased down easily without losing any wicket within 26 overs. Indian young star Shefali Verma remained not out on individual 71 runs while the other opener Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 94 runs.
But certainly the core attraction of the match will be Yastika Bhatia’s run out. India currently has a 2-0 lead in the series. Now the team will look upto keep their form intact and clean sweep the hosts on their home soil.
