Indian team lost the last T20 match against England after winning first two matches of the series. England set the target of 215 runs in 20 overs, in response to that, India could reach at 198 runs with the help of Suryakumar Yadav’s century but still remained short of 17 runs.
India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli could manage to score just 11 runs in the last game and gifted his wicket to David Willy after smashing a four and a six. Kohli had come to bat with an aggressive approach but that did not help him. Even in the second T20 game, he could make only 1 run.

After the 3rd T20 game, Rohit Sharma talked in press conference and slammed the critics and experts who were criticizing Virat Kohli for his current form. Rohit Sharma stated that it is not difficult for him and the management as they do not listen to the outside opinion of critics and experts. He said that he doesn’t know or care about these experts or why are they even called experts.
He further added that those critics are seeing from outside so they are not aware of what’s happening inside the team. The team have a thought process. He said that they construct the team, debate and discuss about it. The players are backed even if they are passing through the bad phase of their careers. So for him, the most important thing is what happening inside the team, not what people saying from outside.
In 2022, Virat Kohli has scored 443 runs in 17 innings with a poor average of 26. Even in the last test match against England, he looked clueless. There were some rumours that Kohli can be dropped for upcoming World Cup squad if he does not perform in series against England. Virat Kohli must be seeing to contribute in ODI series against England which is starting from 12th July.
