Australia had already won the first two matches of the series, first match by 5 wickets & second match by 8 wickets but in the third ODI they surrendered in front of Zimbabwe bowlers. Zimbabwe captain after winning the toss invited Australian team to bat first but they could not stand a chance against Zimbabwe bowlers.
No Austrian batter barring David Warner able to 20-run-mark in the innings. David Warner slammed 94 runs and helped Australia to cross 100 runs. Ryan burl stole the show in the first innings for Zimbabwe as he too 5W haul by conceding just 10 runs. Australia’s innings bundled out for just 141 runs.
Zimbabwe with the help of Tadiwanashe Marumani’s 35 runs & Regis Chakabva’s 37 runs chased down the target with 11 overs to wickets. After this victory, Zimbabwe created history as they defeated Australia on their own soil in ODI cricket history. However, Australia sealed the series by 2-1 and Adam Zampa was adjudged the player of the series.
