Suryakumar Yadav’s scintillating knock of 68 runs off 26 deliveries against Hong Kong helped India to make place in Super 4 of Asia Cup 2022.

India put on a mammoth total of 192 runs on the board with the aid of Suryakumar Yadav’s and Virat Kohli’s outstanding half centuries. In his 68 runs innings, Suryakumar slammed 6 sixes and 6 fours and amassed 78 runs in last 5 overs of the innings. For his innings, Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged player of the match.

Virat Kohli also gave a tight support to Suryakumar Yadav and scored his 31st half century in 40 balls and finished his innings being unbeaten on 59 in 44 deliveries. While chasing, Hong Kong managed to score 152/5 in 20 overs and fell short of 40 runs. Babar Hayat remained highest run-scorer from Hong Kong’s side who made 41 runs in 35 deliveries.

After the game, Virat Kohli could not stop himself from commending Suryakumar Yadav’s spectacular knock. When Surya scored six on the last ball of the innings, Virat Kohli bowed down to Surya’s heroic innings and when Kohli was walking towards Surya on their way back to pavilion, he uttered “Kya hai yeh” in a surprising expression as Surya had indeed an unbelievable knock.
