This time not with the bat but with his sublime fielding. In India vs Zimbabwe game, Kohli took a stunner to dismiss Zimbabwe’s opening batter. In the last match of T20 World Cup 2022, India thrashed Zimbabwe by 71 runs and boosted their confidence ahead of semifinal game.
With the help of Suryakumar’s magnificent 61 runs in 25 balls as well as Kl Rahul’s fifty, India set a total of 186 runs in 20 overs. While chasing, Zimbabwe bundled out for 115 runs and lost the game. India will play semifinal against England in Adelaide.
Talking about the catch, on the first delivery of Zimbabwe’s innings, opener Wesley Madhevere in attempt to play a drive on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s off-side delivery, hit the ball towards the covers. Kohli who was fielding there, dived towards his right and grabbed a stunning catch.
