Indian team showed their batting strength against Hong Kong when they smacked the opposition bowlers all over the park.
Hong Kong after winning the toss, invited India to bat first. India did not have a great start as captain Rohit Sharma departed early. KL Rahul who was out of acting before Asia Cup, seemed to struggle against Hong Kong bowlers and only managed to score 36 runs off 39 deliveries.
Virat Kohli who played an important role in the first game against Pakistan, continued his form and played some gorgeous shots. Kohli took 40 balls to score his 31st T20i fifty. In his 59-run-knock, Kohli whacked three outrageous sixes.
But the main attraction of the innings was no other than Suryakumar Yadav. Surya just after arrival at the crease, started hitting balls over the boundary. Mumbai batter completed his fifty in just 23 deliveries. But he did not stop after that, in the last over Surya slammed 3 consecutive sixes on first three deliveries and made 68 runs off just 26 deliveries with the help of 6 sixes and 6 fours.
Owing to Kohli & Suryakumar fifties, India put on a total of 192 on the board. When the innings got over, Virat Kohli bowed down to Suryakumar Yadav and appreciated his remarkable knocks. Furthermore, Virat Kohli asked the spectators to cheer for Surya.
