Virat Kohli became the victim of a wrong decision by the umpire.
On the second day of the second test match between India & Australia in Delhi, India struggled a lot with the bat as they lost 4 wickets on the score of just 66. Virat Kohli tried his best to recover the team from collapse by scoring exquisite 44 runs.
He got a good support from Jadeja who made 26 runs. But on the third delivery of 49th over, Kohli was declared LBW by the delivery after which Kohli challenged umpire’s decision by taking a view. In the review it was shown that the ball has hit bat & pad simultaneously.
According to the rules, if ball touched bat & pad at the same time, it is assumed that the ball has hit the bat first but in this case, Kohli was given out. After his dismissal, fans looked agitated on social media & condemned the decision of the umpire Nitin Menon.
