21-year-old Roman Walker got Virat Kohli’s wicket in the practice game. But the Indian superstar is certainly not happy with the umpire’s decision as he left amazed after the umpire raised his finger on the call of LBW.
The only practice game is going on in Middlesex County Club’s training ground just before India is going to appear in the final test against England. Captain Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat first but could find themselves as they have already lost 7 wickets on just 154 runs so far.
Leicestershire’s young pacer Roman Walker (8-4-13-4) has been impressive so far by picking up 4 crucial wickets of Rohit Sharma, Vira Kohli, Hanuma Vihari, and Ravindra Jadeja.
But the former Indian captain didn’t look happy with his dismissal as the ball started to outswing from the off stump and it kept on going to the keeper’s gloves by touching Virat’s pad. Umpire responded to the fielders’ call and raised his finger. As of look from the outside, it might miss the off stump. Kohli added 33 runs before getting out. He was looking well settled on a hard pitch. He also hit a massive six on Prasidh Krishna’s bouncer.
But other Indian batter didn’t look settled in the crease at all. There are a few days left before the much-awaited test match. The batters need to way out to adapt to the situation as soon as possible otherwise it would be an obstacle for the Indian team to conquer the English on their soil.
