England is taking on New Zealand in the 3rd Test under the captaincy of Ben Stokes. But former captain Joe Root stole the show with his audacious shot against New Zealand bowler Neil Wagner.
England is currently chasing 296 runs to win the test match. O. Pope and J. Root are currently at the crease and trying to put up a partnership after the English team lost 2 wickets and they took the team to a strong position from where it would be easy for them to win the test match.
But Joe Root did something exceptional on the fifth ball of the 21st over of Neil Wagner. Wagner bowled an outside off-stump length delivery. Joe Root went after it and reverse scooped it for six. The bowler himself left amazed as well as every person on the ground. Generally, Root is known for his copybook game. But the audacity he showed by reverse scooping a fast bowler was something else.
Currently, England is 196 runs behind their target. But if Root can continue his form for some more time it can be an easy win for the hosts and a consecutive two test series win against the Black Caps.
