Indian Speedstar Jasprit Bumrah stole the attention of world cricket when he single-handedly broke the English batting lineup. He carried his form after the match too and gave a cheeky reply in the post-match presentation.
Bumrah was given the new ball and he didn’t miss the chance to show his skills with that. He picked up the crucial wickets of Jason Roy (0), Joe Root (0), Jonny Bairstow (7), and Liam Livingstone (0) with the new ball and forced the English team to face a collapse. He came back with the old ball but nothing differed and picked up 2 more wickets and ended his spell with his career-best ODI figure of 6/19 in 7.2 overs. Praise from all over the world started showering upon him after that. Former English captain Nassir Hussain termed him the best all-format player.
Suitably he was adjudged as the Man of the Match. There the reporter told Bumrah that he was confident when he interviewed him six years back. Bumrah gave a cheeky reply and said he didn’t remember what he said six years back.

He also added that he loves to stay in the present. There are so many opinions that create confusion for a player. So he tries to focus on his own evolution and process. He believes his hard work, diet, fitness, and all combined effort is showing the results now. His main focus is to maintain consistency and give stability to the team.
Without Jasprit Bumrah, captain Rohit Sharma was also the star of the match, whose unbeaten half-century helped the team to cross over the victory line. India will face England in the 2nd T20 at Lord’s, on Thursday from 5:30 pm(IST).
