Senior Indian pacer Md Shami got Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck on the ongoing warm-up game between India and Leicestershire.
India is going to appear in only a test match against England from 1st July. Before that India is having a practice match. 5 Indian players are playing for the Leicestershire team. The Indian team won the toss and opted to bat first. India declared the innings on 246/8 and put Leicestershire to bat.
Pujara was dropped from test side after poor performance in series against South Africa. He managed to score just 124 runs in 3-match-series with a poor average of 20.
All eyes were on Indian senior player Cheteshwar Pujara who is coming back after getting dropped in the Sri Lanka series. He has performed brilliantly in the county season with Sussex Cricket Club. But the batter disappointed his fans when he got bowled by his Indian teammate Md. Shami. Shami bowled an out-side of length delivery that got Pujaraโs inside edge and got into the stumps. Indian Shami wanted to light the moment so he gave a hug to his national teammate while he was going back to the pavilion.
Now all eyes will be on Indian young star Rishabh pant and how he will approach his innings.
But teammates have backed the senior batter and said it was the quality ball that took Pujara with him. He will get another chance in the 2nd innings and many training sessions. So there is nothing to worry about him. Pujara is also confident he will show his touches once the much-awaited test match will undergo from 1st July.
