New Zealand batter Henry Nicholls got out in one of the most unlucky ways on the 2nd day of ongoing England vs New Zealand test match.
The 3rd test match of the Eng vs Nz series is going on Headingley Cricket Ground. New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first. Black Caps didn’t get a good start as Tom Latham got out on duck. But with the contributions of Will Young, Kane Williamson, and Davon Conway they managed to get off 80 runs in a loss of 3 wickets but then a steady partnership of Henry Nicholls and Daryl Mitchel was trying to take New Zealand at a strong position.
But, on the 55th over of the New Zealand innings Henry Nicholls faced one of the most unlucky dismissals. He played a lofted straight drive on the ball of English left armer Leach. But the ball hit the bat of nonstriker Daryl Mitchel and went straight to Alex Lees. Both batsmen and even the bowler took some time to understand what happened there. Hence Nicholls returns to the pavilion after a gritty knock of 19 on 99 balls.
Now Daryl Mitchel and Keeper Tom Blundell are at the crease and trying to take the team to a commendable possible. The score is 133/5 so far. Now all eyes are on these two batsmen whether they can add some crucial run to their score after Nicholl’s unfortunate dismissal and help England to jump on the black caps with more boost.
