Australian captain Pat Cummins hit a massive six in the ongoing Australia vs Sri Lanka 1st Test match which left the cricket fans in awe.
Australia is taking on Srilanka in a 3- match test series after a hard fought T20I and ODI series. The visitors are looking well settled in the match till the end of the 2nd day as they restricted Sri Lanka to only 212 runs with help of Nathan Lyon’s 5-fer. Though Australia didn’t get a good start , they managed to score 312/8 with help of Usman Khawaja’ 71 and Cameron Green’s 77 runs. Wicketkeer Alex Carrey also played a crucial role to take Australia to a strong position.
Pat Cummins’s massive six:
At the end of the day captain Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon are at the crease at individual 26 runs and 8 runs respectively. Cummins hit 3 huge sixes to reach that score. One of those sixes, on delivery of Jeffrey Vandersay, landed on the Galle Stadium Rode. Jeffrey bowled a slow leg spin on the 5th ball of 69th over. Cummins went for slog-sweep and eventually connected so well and the ball launched into the Galle Stadium Road, outside the stadium.
