UAE’s bowler Junaid Siddiqui smacked gigantic six in Group A game of T20 World Cup against Sri Lanka.
In the group A game between Sri Lanka and UAE, the latter decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Sri Lanka managed to score 152/8 in 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka was the top-scorer of Sri Lanka’s innings scoring 74 runs off 64 deliveries. Dhananjaya de Silva also played a splendid cameo of 33 runs in 21 balls.
While chasing down the target, UAE’s innings collapsed on 73 runs and Sri Lanka registered a big victory in the game owing to Wanindu Hasaranga’s magnificent spell of 2/8. UAE’s batters were not impressed in the game but their number 9 batter Junaid Siddiqui entertained the spectators and dug-out with his monstrous six.
In the 17th over when Chameera came to bowl, and on the first ball he bowled a leg delivery which Junaid dispatched it towards mid-wicket. The hitting was so powerful that the ball sailed over the roof of the stadium. After hitting the six, Junaid showed his biceps to his teammates who were sitting in the dugout.
