India women created history by beating England in U-19 T20 World Cup final.
This was the first U-19 World Cup for women in T20 format and Indian women clinched the inaugural title and created history. This is Indian Women’s first win in Under-19 World final as they thrashed England by 7 wickets Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.
Shafali Verma-led Team chose to ball first in the final as Indian bowlers dismantled English batting lineup. England bundled out for just 68 runs. Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi & Parshavi Chopra scalped 2-2-2 wickets each and played an important role in India’s victory.
India chased down the target with 36 balls to spare at the loss of 3 wickets. Soumya Tiwari smashed 24 runs off 37 deliveries and got a good support from Gongadi Trisha 24(29). Titan Sadhu was adjudged player of the match for splendid spell of 2/6
