Crazy things often happen here and there in the cricket field. One such incident happened in the England T20 Blast tournament final that surely raised the blood pressure of every spectator as well as the players.
It was the Hampshire Hawks team which was taking on Lancashire in the Grand finale. Hampshire put on a score of 152 in their 20 overs. Lancashire chased well and kept on fighting till the last ball. But who knew the craziest thing was waiting for the last ball of the match.
On the last ball Lancashire needed 5 runs to win. Nathan Ellis delivered a perfect yorker to Richard Gleeson which knocked off Gleeson’s stumps. All the Hampshire players went wild and started celebrating. The Hampshire Dressing room also erupted in joy. The fireworks started all around the stadium.
But perhaps the all mighty wanted to enjoy some more action. Between all the celebrations of Hampshire players, the umpire signaled a no ball. All the crowd went silent as well as the players. The match wasn’t over yet. Lancashire now needed 4 from the last ball. But bowler Ellis held his nerve and executed a perfect slower one which Richard failed to connect and the ball went to the keeper.
It was just the moment before Hampshire players would start their 2nd round of celebration. But they waited for a few seconds for the umpire decision and went on for their final celebration.

The trophy was handed over to Vince and the fireworks went off for the final time to declare the ending of this dramatic tournament. Though the celebration in the field was interrupted, it’s sure that they will have an uninterrupted celebration all night long for being the 3rd time champion of this tournament.
