Steve Smith is renowned for his various body postures while batting.

On the second day of the first test match between Australia & South Africa at Gabba, Smith was seen talking to himself after getting hit by the ball. In the 18th over, Nortje delivery caught Smith off-guard after that Smith was heard self-sledging by saying “Yeah have some of that Smudge!”

Smith has admitted to his quirky batting routine on Amazon Prime’s documentary on the Australian men’s cricket team. He said, “I do some weird stuff. I don’t try to do it, it just kind of happens. I think its left pad, right pad, box, one tap in the middle, two behind my foot, look up, two behind my foot, look up, tap, good to go… Every ball”.

Talking about the game, Australia’s innings bundled up for 218 runs and they had a lead of 66 runs over South Africa. In the second innings, South Africa’s innings collapsed on 99 runs and Australia won the game by 4 wickets chasing 35 runs.
