Sri Lankan Women crushed Pakistan Women by 1 run in a thrilling semifinal game of Asia Cup 2022.
Now, Sri Lanka will play the final of Asia Cup against Indian Women team. Sri Lanka after batting first scored 122/6 in 20 overs. Harshitha Madavi (35 off 41 balls, one four), Nilakshi de Silva (14 off 27 balls) & opener Anushka Sanjeewani made 26 off 21 ball helped Sri Lanka to put on a decent total.
While chasing, Pakistan needed 9 runs in the last over and then the equation changed to 3 runs off final delivery. Pakistan managed to score just one run and the lost the match in a thrilling last over. For Pakistan Bismah Maroof remained the top-scorer of the innings with 42 runs in 41 balls.
This was Sri Lanka’s first entrance in final of Asia Cup in last 14 years. The reason Sri Lankan players did coordinated dance after the game as a celebration.
