Funny incidents are something that can never be left behind on the cricket ground. Once such an incident happened on the 3rd day’s play between Sri Lanka vs Australia 1st test match when the scattered bail on Travis Head’s delivery hit straight into David Warner’s abdomen.
Australia started to push hosts to touch their backs on the wall from the very beginning of 3rd day’s play. After getting all out on 321 in reply of Sri Lanka’s 212 runs in the first inning Australia started to dominate the match with the help of their spinners, Nathan Lyon and Travis Head. Head put up his career-best figure of 4/10 in the second innings.
But a funny incident happened when Head clean bowled Sri Lankan Jeffrey Vandersay. When the ball hit the stumps, the scattered bails hit straight into David Warner’s abdomen who was standing at the slip. The Aussie star crashed onto the ground leaving his teammates laughing around.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka got bundled out in only 113 and the required target for the visitors remained only 5 runs. Warner didn’t waste any time and smashed 10 runs in just 4 balls and took Australia 1-0 up in the series. Two matches are still left. Time will tell if Australia will get a convincing series win or if the hosts will make a stunning comeback.
