On Monday, India completely whitewashed the hosts Zimbabwe by 3-0 by thrashing them with the margin of 9 runs in penultimate over thriller.
India after winning toss, put on total of 289 runs on the board owing to Shubman Gill’s maiden international hundred as he smacked 130 runs off just 97 deliveries as well as Ishan Kishan’s half century.
While chasing, Sean Williams showed his class in big run chase but he managed to score 45 in 46 deliveries and became the prey of Axar Patel. But the batsman who put fear in Indian bowlers heart was Sikandara Raza who intended to his best to get over the line. He smashed an astonishing hundred and departed on the score of 115 runs.
India’s hero in the first innings Shubman Gill again shone in the second innings when he took an acrobatic catch of Sikandar Raza on the forth delivery of 48th over of Shardul Thakur by diving forward at long-on region. The catch almost sealed the match as Zimbabwe’s most important batter had to move towards pavilion.
