In the series decider clash between India & New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemdabad, 23-year-old Shubman Gill smacked his maiden T20 hundred in just 54 balls. Gill finished off his innings remained unbeaten on the score of 126 facing 63 balls at a tremendous strike rate of 200.
With this hundred, Shubman Gill has the highest individual score by an Indian in T20I. In the span of just 15 days, Gill has 208 in ODI & 126* in T20I. Furthermore, Gill becomes the youngest player in history to register a century in all the 3 formats.
Owing to Gill’s masterclass, India put on total of 234 runs on the board in 20 overs. Besides Gill, Rahul Tripathi hammered 44 runs off 22 balls & captain Hardik Pandya made 30 runs after playing 17 balls. New Zealand is currently batting on 13 at the loss of 4 wickets.
