Shardul Thakur again proved why he is called ‘partnership breaker’ of Indian team. It has occurred many times that India is struggling to take wicket and Shardul provides the breakthrough at the right moment. Similar thing happened in today’s game.
West Indies after winning the toss, opted to bat first and their decision proved to be precise when their openers added 65 runs for the first wicket. After that Shai Hope and Shamarh Brooks made 62 runs partnership for the second wicket. Half centurion of last game, Brandon King couldn’t contribute enough and walked away scoring 5-ball-duck. Captain Nicholas Pooran and Shai Hope added 117 runs for the 4th wicket.
In the 44th over, Shardul Thakur showed his magic on the the 4th delivery. Pooran tried to play shot way too across and was missing his leg stump. Shardul did not leave the chance to knock off his leg stump and broke a significant partnership between Pooran and Hope.
