Kerala batter Sanju Samson eventually spoke after not getting chance in India’s squad for upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
Sanju Samson played his last T20I game against West Indies in which he smashed 30* runs in first match & 15 in the second game. Before West Indies series, he played 2 T20I games against Ireland in which he got to bat in a single game in which he scored his highest individual score of international cricket.
Considering Sanju Samson’s overall T20I career, he has not had an impressive performance yet, in the 16 games he played, he managed to score 296 runs with poor batting average of 21. Sanju gets tough competition from wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant. Pant was selected ahead of Sanju for the World Cup squad.
Sanju spoke about his competition with Rishabh Pant & KL Rahul. Sanju said that media often talks that he will replace KL Rahul or Pant but he does not see Pant or Rahul as a competitor as they both play for India and if he takes them as competitor, it means he is letting his country down. So he just thinks positive and wait for the right chance to give his best for the team.
