Watch – Rohit Sharma’s pull shot which almost pulled off an incredible victory
Rohit Sharma again showed why he is called ‘The Hitman’ by his outrageous batting.
In the second ODI against Bangladesh, India fought well and had almost chased the target of 272 runs but fell short of 5 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma, even after sustaining a thumb injury came to bat at 9th position and tried his best to pull off an iconic victory.
Earlier, India did not have a good start in chasing the target and lost both Kohli & Dhawan inside 3 overs. But Shreyas Iyer maintained his immense consistency and hammered 82 runs off 102 deliveries and made a crucial partnership with Axar Patel (56) for the 5th wicket.
But India lost Axar & Iyer at the score of 189 and it was looking difficult for India to chase then came Rohit Sharma who caught a thumb injury while catching in the first innings. Rohit smacked 5 sixes & 3 fours in his 52-run knock and had almost chased the target. However, after this loss, Bangladesh took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.
