Team India took an unassailable lead of 3-1 by vanquishing over the hosts in the 4th T20 encounter which was played at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.
The match took place after 45 minutes of its scheduled time due to rain. Nicholas Pooran after winning the toss, offered Men in Blue to bat first. Rohit Sharma who was doubtful for the game due to back injury, played the game and slammed 34 runs off just 16 deliveries with 3 sixes and became the second highest six hitter in International cricket, only behind Chris Gayle.
Apart from Rohit Sharma, flamboyant Suryakumar smashed quickfire 24 runs in 16 deliveries. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant also showed his wrath on Caribbean bowlers scoring 44 runs in 31 deliveries. Sanju Samson also contributed 30 runs facing 23 deliveries. Eventually India managed to cross the mark of 190 runs with the help of astonishing cameo by Axar Patel who whacked 20 runs off just 8 balls.
West Indies innings while chasing, bundled out for 132 runs. Captain Pooran and Brandon King scored 24-24 runs but it was not sufficient. From Indian side, Arshdeep Singh maintained his stupendous form by picking 3 wickets spending just 13 runs. Avesh, Axar and Bishnoi, all picked 2 wickets.
After the game, Indian team were celebrating the series victory. Amid all the celebrations, it was Rohit Sharma’s heartwarming gesture which won many hearts. Captain Rohit gave high-five to the jovial fans who had come to witness the game.
