Cheteshwar Pujara was India’s hero with bat on Day 3 of test match.
On Day 3 of third test match between India & Australia, Australia came in a dominating position by bowling out India for 163 runs. Nathan Lyon scalped his test career best figure (8/64) and played an important role in keeping the final target below 100 for Australia.
However, Cheteshwar Pujara fought alone from one end and helped India lead go past 50 runs. Pujara hammered 59 runs in 144 balls with the help of 5 fours & a six. He eventually got out owing to a magnificent catch by Australian captain Steve Smith in the slip.
When India had lost their 8 wickets, captain Rohit Sharma sent Ishan Kishan in order to tell Pujara to start hitting boundaries as they don’t have many wickets left. After Rohit’s signal, Pujara struck an outrageous six over Long on boundary.
