Rishabh Pant and his love for outrageous shots is well known among the cricket fans. He put up another show at the Old Trafford in the series decider of India vs England ODI series.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. England put up a score of 259 with help of captain Jos Buttler’s fighting half century. In reply India faced a batting collapse again as Topley picked up Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick succession.
But Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant put up a great partnership and took the team to a safe position.
After Hardik got out by a brilliant catch of Stokes, Pant continued his fireworks and smashed an outstanding century.
In this innings he played lots of eye-catching shots but his six against David Willey will be remembered for a long time. He slog swept left arm pacer Willey then went over mid wicket boundary like a bullet.
Pant went to sixth gear straight after completing his hundred and smashed Willey 5 boundaries in a single over.
How this youngstar built the innings from a tough position and then finished as well, will surely be one of the greatest knocks of Indian cricket History.
