Indian Women team registered victory in the second T20 against England’s women team and leveled the 3-match series by 1-0 after losing the first game with a big difference.
England Women’s team chose to bat first after winning the toss but their decision proved to be wrong as their openers departed cheaply inside the powerplay. Afterwards Bryony Smith and Amy Jones intended to build partnership after the bad start but the duo could not last longer when Radha Yadav showed her acrobatic fielding in the 8th over.
On the 5th delivery of the eighth over bowled by Sneha Rana, Radha Yadav sprinted and took a scintillating catch while diving to dismiss Bryony Smith. Earlier, on the last delivery of third over, Radha Yadav did magnificent fielding by throwing the ball to Richa Ghosh and ran out Alice Capsey.
India chased down the target with 20 balls to spare at the loss of just 2 wickets. Opener Smriti Mandhana smacked fantastic 79 runs off just 53 deliveries with the help of 13 fours. Madhana got a good support from the captain Harmanpreet Kaur who amassed 29 runs for the team.
