Watch: Puajara trapped by Anderson with a peach of delivery
Cheteshwar Pujara got dismissed cheaply by James Anderson in the 1st innings of the much-awaited India vs England 5th and final test match of the previously unfinished series.
Due to Rohit Sharma’s unavailability, Pujara came to open the innings along with Shuvman Gill. Both looked in good touch. But Gill was dismissed after playing some eye-catching strokes by guiding the ball to Zak Crawley, standing in the second slip.

After Gill’s dismissal, all eyes were on Pujara. But the experienced member of the team couldn’t put up a show as he got out in a similar manner with Gill by nicking the ball with the outside edge and got caught by Crawley again.
Pujara had a marvelous county season with Sussex club due to which he made a comeback in Indian jersey. But he couldn’t make his comeback special. Though he looked solid during his short stay, Anderson’s class came above him. Pujara returned to the pavilion after adding only 13 runs to the scoreboard.
Now all the expectations are on Indian former captain Virat Kohli. He is at the crease on 1 run along with Hanuma Vihari who is on individual 14 runs.
The match has been disrupted due to rain and early lunch has been taken. India is at the score of 53 with loss of 2 wickets. A strong partnership is needed from here to get into a commendable position and for that, Virat needs to show his class once again on British soil.
