United Arab Emirates (UAE) victory over Namibia secured Netherlands place in Super 12.
UAE thrashed Namibia in an epic thriller encounter on Thursday by 6 runs. UAE after batting first put on a total of 148 runs on the board. Muhammad Waseem was the top-scorer of the innings who slammed 50 runs in 41 balls.
Chundangapoyil Rizwan & Basil Hameed also played an useful innings of 43* & 25* respectively. While chasing, Namibia remained short of 7 runs and the lost the game. David Wiese played a spectacular knock of 55 runs in 36 delivery but he did not get any support from his other teammates.
After UAE’s win, Netherlands qualified in super 12 from Group A after Sri Lanka. Netherlands will play against India in Group B game on 27th October. After UAE’s victory, Netherland players started doing wild celebration and dancing in their dressing room.
