Mitchell Starc accomplished a new feat on the second day of the first test between Australia & South Africa.
On the first session of the Day 2 of the first test match at the Gabba, Mitchell Starc uprooted Van der Dussen’s stump with an inswinging delivery and sent the African batter to Pavilion. With this dismissal, Starc scalped his 300th test wicket and celebrated it in his usual style.
Starc has now joined the elite list of 300-plus wicket-takers in tests for Australia. This list includes Dennis Lillee, Glenn McGrath, Mitchell Johnson and Starc is the new name in this prestigious list. Starc started this game with 296 scalps, then he picked 3 wickets in the first innings which aided his team in bundling up the visitors on 152-score.
Australia while trailing posted a total of 218 and took lead of 66 runs. Travis Head smashed staggering 92 runs and unfortunately missed his well-deserved hundred by 8. In the second innings, South Africa is batting on 32 runs at the moment with the loss of 3 wickets.
