Michael Neser’s catch during a BBL clash became a topic of discussion.
During the encounter between Brisbane Heats & Sydney Sixers, Heats’ player Michael Neser displayed his presence of mind and grabbed a top-quality catch at the boundary line in the penultimate over to help his team win the game while defending the target.
Jordan Silk who was batting on 41 off 23 deliveries was taking Sixers’ to victory but in the 19th over, he smashed the ball in the air in the deep where Nesser was positioned. Nesser jumped high to grab the catch but when he thought he was going over the rope, he threw the ball in air.
But the ball too went beyond the boundary alongside him, after that Nesser against jumped and grabbed the ball outside the rope and threw it inside then himself came inside the line to take an extraordinary catch. The catch was seemed to be controversial as many players believed it was not out but the umpire put up his finger as it was out as per law 19.5.2.
