Washington Sundar pulled off a dream delivery in the County match against Kent to dismiss Jordon Cox in the second innings.
Lancashire is currently taking on Kent in the County div-1 match. In reply to Lancashire’s 145 runs in the first innings, Kent put up 270 runs. The Lancashire team made a great comeback in the second innings and scored mammoth 436 runs in the loss of 9 wickets and declared the innings. Kent is now chasing the huge score of 312 runs but already lost 7 wickets on just 115 runs. Kent’s possibility to win this match is tensed to zero unless some miracle from here.
Among all the ups and downs of the match, Lancashire bowler Washington Sundar stole the show with a dream delivery that knocked off Jordon Cox’s stumps.
It was the 5th ball of the 31st over of the Kent innings when the Indian bowler bowled a loopy off-spin delivery outside the off-stump. Cox went for a front foot defense with a big stride but the ball took a turn from there and crashed on to the stamps sneaking through the gap between his bat and pad.
Cox was in utter disbelief after getting out on this splendid delivery. Eventually, after spending a few time on the crease Cox went on to the pavilion(1 run), leaving his team on 74/5.

Sundar was out of regular cricket for a long time due to injury but he is taking the County championship as a step to return to the mainstream of cricket. It has helped the Indian all-rounder a lot. He has been in brilliant form since he started playing this tournament. He took fifer on the very first match he played in County. Now the dream delivery to dismiss Cox will certainly boost him to do well in the next matches and to make a comeback to the Indian team.
