Pakistan took revenge from Team India in Super 4 game by winning it by 5 wickets. India after batting first put on a total of 182 runs in 20 overs on the board. Virat Kohli scored his second fifty of the tournament scoring 60 runs 44 balls. Openers Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul also contributed 28 runs each.
But the total was not enough to defend as Pakistan chased it down in nail-biting last over. Mohammad Rizwan made brilliant 71 runs, Mohammad Nawaz contributed 42 runs playing just 20 balls and Asif Ali’s 16 runs cameo caused the last damage for India.
In post-match presentation, Virat Kohli talked about a lot of things, including his resignation from test captaincy and the message of MS Dhoni after that When he quit Test captaincy, only one person who he played with messaged him. That was MS Dhoni. A lot of people had his number. People gave suggestions on TV. People had a lot to say. But all those who had my number didn’t message, said Kohli.
When you have respect for someone and that’s genuine, then it looks like that because there is a sense of security on both sides. Neither does MS needs anything from me nor does he needs anything from MS. He was never insecure of MS neither was he, added Kohli.
