As they say, rivalry ends outside the boundary rope, another example of that was seen at Lord’s before the England vs India 2nd ODI when Jonny Bairstow and Virat Kohli had a friendly conversation.
England is taking on India at the home of cricket, The Lord’s. Before the toss when the teams were practicing. Kohli was having a net session and while coming back he met England’s Jonny Bairstow and they both had a long conversation. The camera didn’t fail to capture this moment.
Both Kohli and Bairstow got engaged in a heated argument while the Edgbaston test was going on between England and India. Bairstow hit centuries in both innings and replied in style.
When Bairstow was asked about the incident he replied that he and Kohli both are competitive players. Both want to win for the nation. So it was a matter of moment. England won the test match and managed to draw the test series at 2-2.
But India has done well in the limited over format. They have won the T20I series by a 2-1 margin and 1-0 up in the ODI series too. India and England will look up to Kohli and Bairstow to stand out in the match as once they get set in the middle they have the capability to snatch the game from the other team single-handedly
