Kl Rahul’s acrobatic effort provided a crucial breakthrough for India.
In the second test match between India & Australia at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, Australia chose to bat first after winning the toss. Opener Usman Khawaja looked promising from the very start. Khawaja completed his fifty batting impeccably and was looking relentless.
But at the score of 81, Khawaja endeavoured to play a reverse shot on the leg-side delivery of spinner Jadeja. The ball went in air after getting hit by Khawaja’s bat. KL Rahul who was fielding at the covers, dived towards his right side to take an one-handed stunner.
Australia is currently battling at 191/6 after playing 55 overs. Australia’s ace batters Steve Smith & Marnus Labuschagne departed early owing to terrific bowling by R Ashwin. Peter Handscomb (35)* and Pat Cummins (15)* are at the crease at this moment.
