India will take on New Zealand in 3-match T20 series starting from 18th November.
It is India’s first game since their defeat to England in semifinal whereas New Zealand will also face their first opponent after they lost to Pakistan in the semifinal of T20 World Cup 2022. Hardik Pandya will lead the Indian team while Rishabh Pant will do the job of vice-captain.
Ahead of the series, New Zealand cricket posted a video in which Hardik & Williamson are standing together for photoshoot and suddenly the trophy was about to fall onto the ground but Williamson grabbed it before falling with his quick reflexes. Even Hardik Pandya got stunned seeing Williamson’s quick reaction.
Kane also lauded Hardik ahead of the game and stated that “Hardik is obviously a superstar of the game and I have played a lot against him. He is one of the most sought-after match-winners, given the fact that he is an all-rounder. He has also had a lot of success in the IPL. In terms of leadership for India, they have a lot of experience and the guidance of the likes of Rohit and Virat will be very helpful for them”
