Mohammad Rizwan got out on an ordinary delivery on Day 1 of the third test match.
Pakistan after winning the toss, opted to bat first and started scoring runs with fine run rate but they kept losing wickets at regular interval. Pakistan captain Babar Azam was the top-scorer from his side with 78 runs. Babar was going well before he was ran out by his partner Agha Salman.
Aside from Babar, Agha Salman continued his superb form and smashed another half century of the series. Azhar Ali also made a crucial contribution of 45 runs. Pakistan innings crumbled on the score of 304. In the bowling department, Jake Leach scalped four-wicket haul. Debutant Rehan Ahmed too picked couple of wickets.
But the way Mohammad Rizwan got dismissed was the center of attraction of the day. On the last ball of 49th over, Root bowled a full-toss delivery on which Rizwan came out of his crease and hit the ball in air in the leg-side which fell in the hands of Stokes who took a stunning catch while running. After the catch, Joe Root burst into laughter as he couldn’t believe his full toss delivery provided a wicket.
