India came out victorious in an epic last over thriller against Pakistan in their first game of Asia Cup. Indian team now have won 9 matches against Pakistan in this tournament, that shows their immense domination.
Talking about the game, Pakistan failed to cross 150-run-mark and their innings bundled out for 147 runs without even playing full 20-over. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked 4W haul and registered the best spell against Pakistan in T20I by an Indian (4-0-26-4). Hardik Pandya also manifested his potential by taking 3 crucial wickets of Pakistan.
While chasing, India had a decent start owing to Virat Kohli’s classy 35-run-knock. After that, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya took the responsibility of finishing the game by building 52-run-partnership. Jadeja played a scintillating knock of 35 runs and almost made the game for India. After that, Hardik Pandya finished off the match in style by smashing a flat six and remained unbeaten on 33 runs.
After the game, it was Sanjay Manjrekar who was going to Jadeja’s interview in post-match presentation. We all know that Manjrekar called Jadeja ‘Bits and Pieces Player’ on air during 2019 World Cup. After that Jadeja slammed him on twitter by replying “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar.”
Manjrekar began the interview by asking “you are okay to talk to me Jaddu right?” On which Jadeja responded “Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. I do not have any problem.” Jadeja further talked that they wanted to play till the end, they have a very good bowling attack, their fast bowlers don’t give anything away. He could have finished the game but Hardik played superbly. He (Pandya) came out, he was very clear in his head and said he was going to play his shots, and he was happy that Hardik stayed till the end.
