In the Group B match of India against Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2023, Pakistan women put on a total of 149/4 in 20 overs on the board owing to a half-century from Bismah Maroof and an unbeaten knock of 43* runs from Ayesha Naseem.
India while the chasing target lost their opener Yastika Bhatia early followed by the dismissals of Shafali Verma and Harmanpreet Kaur. But number 3 batter Jemimah Rodrigues struck a fantastic fifty and helped India get over the line.
Jemimah built a crucial & unbeaten partnership with Richa Ghosh (31*) and brought up her ninth T20I half-century off 38 balls. From Pakistan side, Nashra Sandhu scalped two wickets and leaked only 15 runs in 4 overs.
