India snatched victory from West Indies’ mouth in the last over thriller on Monday. By the help of Axar Patel’s all-round performance India took an unassailable lead of 2-0. After the match, Indian players were engaged in a wild celebration.
West Indies after winning the toss put on 311 runs on the board with the aid of Shai Hope’s century and Captain Pooran’s 74-run-knock. While Chasing, India did not have a good start. India lost Dhawan on the score of 48 and Gill on the score of 66. Even Suryakumar Yadav’s performance was underwhelming. After that, the duo of Samson-Iyer made 99 runs partnership and took the game close.
But it was Axar Patel whose exuberant knocked helped India clinch the series. Patel slammed magnificent 64 runs off 35 balls and when India needed 6 runs off last 3 balls, he finished the match with an outrageous six. After the game, Dhawan posted a video on Instagram doing wild celebrations with his teammates while shouting and taking a selfie.

India took an undisputed lead of 2-0 in the 3-match ODI series and will face the hosts in the final match of the series on July, 27. Just after that, India will take on the hosts in T20 series commencing from July, 29.
