Pakistan’s star batter Iftikhar Ahmad showcased his hitting ability in the first game of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi, Gladiators batter Iftikhar Ahmad hammered 6 sixes in an over of Pakistan’s caretaker sports minister & pacer Wahab Riaz in the last over of first innings.
Wahab was terrific in early overs as he provided a fiery start to the Gladiators. Wahab scrapped Umar Akmal and Ahsan Ali in the second over but he was utterly clueless against the relentless batting of Iftikhar Ahmed. Iftikhar struck 94 runs off just 50 balls and remained unbeaten.
Owing to Ahmed’s epic outing, Gladiators posted 184/5 in 20 overs. Earlier, the game faced some problems as a blast was reported in the city of Quetta about 15-20 minutes away from the stadium. The game was intervened due to the same issue.
