A bizzare incident occured during the second innings of the T20 match between England & Australia.
In the first T20 game, Aaron Finch after winning the toss invited England to bat first. Opener Alex Hales smashed 84 runs facing just 54 deliveries. Hales and Buttler made 132 runs partnership for the first wicket in just 11.2 overs. Jos Buttler finished his innings on 68 runs in 32 deliveries.
While Chasing, David Warner showed his consistent form and whacked 73 runs in 44 balls and got good support from Mitchell Marsh (36 off 26). Marcus Stoinis who was making his comeback after injury slammed 35 runs in 15 delivery.
But the moment which caught everyone’s attention happened in Mark Wood’s over when Matthew Wade was batting. On Wood’s delivery, Wade played a shot over his head, Wade ran towards the ball in attempt to catch it but Wade blocked the Wood from catching the ball from his left-hand.
Hence Wood could not catch the ball, neither Wade was given out by the umpire for obstructing the field. Wade made 21 runs in 15 balls but Australia missed the target just by 8 runs.
