English team and their players broke plenty of records on the first day of first test against Pakistan.
England batters demolished Pakistan bowlers on the first day of first test in Rawalpindi. Ben Stokes after winning the toss, opted to bat first and England players began T20 mode in test cricket. Both the English openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett smashed centuries and added 233 runs for the first wicket.
Crawley made 122(111) while Duckett finished his innings on 107 off 110 deliveries. After that Ollie Pope too slammed his 3rd test hundred and smacked 108 runs in 104 balls before getting out. But it was Harry Brook who made the day like an ODI game.
Brook hammered 101 runs in 81 balls and became the third fastest centurion for England in tests. Brook hit 14 fours in his innings and 6 out of 14 came in the over of debutant Saud Shakeel in which he hit 6 consecutive fours. England posted the total of 506/4 in 75 overs on the board on Day 1 and became the first team to cross 500-run mark on the first day of test match.
