Team India have won the 1st T20I of the five match series against West Indies. India outplayed West Indies in all departments of the game and registered a huge 68 runs win and takes 1-0 lead.
Team India put on a high score of 190 runs with the help of great knocks of Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik. The surface played really slow right from the start and it was never easy for the batsmen to get going and play their shots freely.
While defending the target, Team India bowlers didn’t let any West Indian batsman to settle on the crease. West Indies kept on losing wickets right from the start. Opener Kyle Mayers was looking good initially and he smashed Youngster Arshdeep Singh for a Six and four on his first two deliveries of his match. But then Arshdeep took the revenge and on the very next ball he sent back dangerous Mayers on 15 individual runs.
Arshdeep Singh impressed everyone with his brilliant skills and his control. He may not have pace like Umran Malik but he has the accuracy and discipline which is required in T20 Cricket or modern day cricket. At the end of the Innings he bowled a brilliant pin point yorker to dismiss Akeal Hosein which was really fascinating to watch.
