England created history by thrashing Pakistan in the Rawalpindi Test.
On an adrenaline rush last session of Day 5, Jake Leach dismissed Pakistan’s last batter Naseem Shah and clinched victory in the first test by 74 runs. Ben Stokes’s masterclass and aggressive captaincy helped England beat Pakistan in Pakistan for the first time in last 17 years.
This is England’s 7th win in last 8 games under McCullum-Stokes duo. Pakistan needed 343 runs to win, on the last day they fought well but couldn’t reach at their goal owing to James Anderson’s brilliant spell of 24-12-36-4. Ollie Robinson was adjudged player of the match for picking 8 wickets in the game.
