England clinched their second T20 World Cup title by defeating Pakistan in the final of T20 World Cup 2022.
England captain Jos Buttler chose to bowl first after winning the bat and his decision was proven to be true as Pakistan lost their opener Mohammad Rizwan early. Babar Azam and Masood tried to buildup partnership but in 12th over Babar got dismissed and Pak lost their 3 wickets.
Iftikhar Ahmed followed Babar Azam after scoring 6-ball duck. Pak did not get a chance to makeup after the collapse and managed to score 137/8 after 20 overs. Sam Curran picked 3 wickets after conceding just 12 runs in 4 overs.
While chasing the target, Alex Hales departed early but Buttler played some good shots and got dismissed on the score of 26. England had lost 4 wickets inside 13 overs at the score of 85 but Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali made 48-run partnership and won the title for England.
After the win, Buttler lifted the trophy and all the teammates celebrated the victory in a wild manner. Jos Buttler won the first T20 World Cup title after captaining for the first time in ICC tournament.
