David Warner took a stunner at slip against Sri Lanka on the 1st Day of the 1st Test, leaving the fans in awe.
Australia is taking on Sri Lanka in the 1st Test in Galle International Stadium, Galle after having a hard-fought T20I and ODI series. Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first but didn’t get a good start. They could manage to put up a score of 149 at the loss of 6 wickets so far. Pathum Nissaka and Dimuth Karunaratne got a start but couldn’t convert those into big scores. Both got out on individual 23 runs and 28 runs respectively.

Cummins dismissed Nissanka while Dimuth got out on Nathan Lyon’s delivery.
Lyon bowled a slow off-spin which Dimuth nicked with his bat’s inside edge and struck into his pad. But the whole Australian team raised the appeal of LBW. But David Warner, standing at slips, kept his eyes on the ball and took a brilliant diving catch and Karunaratne eventually had to depart.

Senior Sri Lankan batsman Angelo Mathews tried to take the score of his team in a commendable position but he also gave his wicket on individual 39 runs. Niroshan Dickwella is currently at the crease and reached up to quick-fire 41 runs.
Still, one and a half session is left in today’s match before the stumps. All eyes are on the Sri Lankan tail-enders whether they could take their score to a respectable total or get bundled out within a low score.
