Indian captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss in the 2nd T20I vs Ireland and opted to bat first. But the core attraction of the toss session happened when Hardik announced he made three changes to the team. The crowd burst into cheers when Hardik announces that Sanju Samson is in the playing XI.
India is taking on Ireland in the Village, Dublin for the 2nd and last T20I match of the series. In the first match, India won convincingly after restricting the Irish team to 108 runs. Deepak Hooda came to open the innings in place of Ruturaj Gaikwad as he sustained a niggle.
Due to this niggle Ruturaj is ruled out from the 2nd T20I. Hardik announced this in the toss and told Sanju Samson will replace him. As soon as he announced this the huge fanbase of Sanju, presented on the ground burst into cheers.
The promising young batter is making his comeback to the international side after the home series against Sri Lanka. He got a few chances but could not stabilize his place on the national side.
Now as the T20 WC is knocking at the door, the team is giving chances to the players to make the core team for the tournament. If Sanju can perform according to his talent in this match or the coming matches, certainly he would make sure the selectors to concern about his name in the squad of T20 WC otherwise it would be heartbreak for his huge fanbase.
